Dear Parents/Guardians:
Your son or daughter will be sewing pajama pants in Fashion and Interior Design class. The class will learn basic sewing skills, as well as how to read a pattern and follow directions.
The manager of the fabric department at:
Wal-Mart
899 Blanding Blvd.
Orange Park, FL 32065
has ordered a pattern for us to use. The pattern is: Simplicity 9871.
Please have your son or daughter bring in the following items for the pajama pants by March
The Wal-Mart in Fleming Island or JoAnn’s will also have the fabric and notions needed, so feel free to shop for fabric wherever you would like. But, please keep in mind; it is the Wal-Mart on Blanding in Orange Park that will have enough patterns for all of the students.
I am very aware this may be a hardship for some families. If it is, please feel free to call me (336-5375), e-mail me at [email protected], or have your son/daughter talk to me individually.
Thank you for your continuing support!

Please have your son or daughter bring in the following items for the pajama pants by March
- 3 yards of a cotton fabric, may be prewashed before bringing into class. This will help keep the pants from shrinking when they are washed after completion of the project.
- 1 pattern: Simplicity 9871
- 1 sewing gauge
- 1 sewing scissors
- 1 package of elastic 1” or wider
- 1 box of straight pins
- 1 spool of All-Purpose thread
